HTML Creator utility is intended for customizing the PowerTerm WebConnect Java Client html files.
The utility automates the setting of parameters for the Java Client applet.
When the WebConnect installation is has been completed, the
system administrator can start the HTML Creator through an Internet shortcut in
the following manner (after installation it has been installed into the default
destination folder):
The Applet Security Warning
dialog appears. Confirm that you want to run this software. The main window of
the HTML Creator applet is shown.
In order to set the value of a certain
HTML parameter, fill in the
proper field in the form.
· Client
Security Type field determines the type of connection between
the PowerTerm WebConnect Server and Java Client: whether the transmitted in this
connection the
data transmitted in
this connection will be secured by SSL or not. In aAccording to your choice selection, the
SecureClient.html or NoSSLClient.html will be used as a template.

WebConnect Server IP Address has tomust be modified when
the Web Server and the WebConnect Server are
installed on different machines. In this case, type the IP address of the
WebConnect Server machine. If they are on the same machine, leave the value
empty.
·
WebConnect Server Port Number has tomust be modified when the
WebConnect Server accepts to the clients on the port number which differs from the
default value 4000.
·
User Name. Modifying
a particular user's login in the HTML will save the user the trouble of logging
in to
the WebConnect. Type the proper user name into this field. In addition to the user
name, the domain can be
specified in this field, in the format domain-name/user-name.

Password. The user’s password may be typed (it is recommended
only in
the order to enable the Automatic Login);

Use OS Account Name. If you check on this
field, the user name gets receives a value of “?” and the OS account name is used by
the WebConnect Server as a user name.
· Automatic Login to WebConnect. If you check on this
field, the entered user name is preceded by the symbol “*”, and Automatic Login to the WebConnect
Server is performed (see above).

Connection. This field plays a partis relevant only in the case of Automatic
Login. If Automatic Login is defined and a specific predefined connection existing exists on the WebConnect
Server

database, connection name is entered in this field, then after the
automatic login to the WebConnect Server, this host
connection is automatically established after the automatic login to the WebConnect Server.

Allow to ato cChange in dDomain. If you check on this
field, the Login dialog will
appear with the separate Domain field, to enable
the user subsequently
specify the domain name he chooses.

Reconnect Mode. This combo box enables to set the user’s Reconnect
Mode. In the case that the selected Reconnect Mode is “Interactive”, the Login
dialog will also contain the Reconnect Mode choice to enable the user to set the preferred Reconnect
Mode.

Language Java Client GUI supports 17 languages. For
language designation. choose the proper language name. Note that the Java
Client language customization exists for Internet Explorer v. 4.0 and higher
and for Netscape Communicator (excluding v.6.x/7.x).

Time Zone Offset
Since Java does not supply theenable offseting of the time zone
(from Greenwich) for your local machine, there is a specific
parameter exists for the time
zone offset in the HTML that may or may not
be accurate. For the time
zone offset accommodation for your time zone, choose the proper offset from the list.
This is important for the display of Printer Job properties.

To initialize the location and size of
the Session Window, choose one of the following options:

Line Drawing. Check on this option
to enable the drawing of the graphic symbols
(vertical and horizontal lines, corners, crossings) by the Java Client, instead rather thanof
using a standard rendering mechanism for the current available font.

Right to Left Move
This parameter is
applicable for the Hebrew
version only. Some Windows OS (Windows
98 Hebrew Enabled and Hebrew, Windows 2000) display the reverse order of
letters in the Hebrew
wordlanguage if they
detected Hebrew letters are detectedinside. For To a work around the situation, the system
administrator selects this option.

External Variables button
Variables can be defined for users. These variables can be accessed from the login scripts (using 'w2h-var' command). The dynamic device names for IBM emulations can also use these variables as is shown:
%X <variable-name>
The system administrator
defines these variables in the special dialog which that appears upon clicking
External Variables button. You tType in the variables and their associated values
in the External Variables text area. The format is:
<Variable-Name>=<Value><Separator>
Every variable definition
starts from
on a new
line. A separator is not mandatory, however clicking on Append Separator
or changing to another separator symbol causes thrro append separator to go to the end of the row.
In the event that you never appended, or chose a different separator, upon exiting
from this dialog, the default separator will be set upon exiting this dialog.
Click OK to exit from the dialog and save the
typed external variables.

SSL
Certificate. This parameter
is relevant only for Client Security Type – SSL Secured.
In order to designate the WebConnect Secure Java
Client SSL authentication type and set this HTML parameter, click on “SSL
Certificate” button. The SSL Usage dialog
appears. The authentication type may be specifically defined for any supported
operating system. In order to define the authentication type for the certain
operation system, select OS from the “Operation System” choice option and the
authentication type from “SSL Usage” choiceoption. In the case that
you select to load the SSL certificate from file or path, click on Add button.
The “Add Certificate Path” dialog appears. Browse or type the certificate
path. Press OK to close the
dialogs.
For creation of To create a customized HTML file, click Create
HTML button. The operation system- specific “Save As” dialog
will be opened.
Browse your hard disk and save the newly created HTML file. Do not forget to
specify the HTML extension.
It’s recommended to save the HTML for any
client in the installation directory of the WebConnect Java Client (in the
public folder of the Web Server).
